Abelisauridae

Abelisauridae a family from the ceratosauiran line of theropod dinosaurs which was highly successful, with fossils from this family first appearing in the middle jurassic from Argentina and remaining until the end of the Cretaceous, this is turn shows the family existed and was highly successful for 104 million years.

Currently there are three genus of abelisauridaes known from the kem kem beds of Morocco, two small and one large, as a very limited amount of skull elements have been uncovered it is currently not possible to identify to a specific name, and although commonly "Rugops Primus" is offered for sale by other sellers this species is only known from the echkar formation of Niger.
