This is a excellent quality tooth from a Ornithocheiridae nice overall enamel and a good size, it is sure to make a great addition to any collection.

There is no restoration but one small repair to this tooth, this fossil along with all of our fossils, has been consolidated with Paraloid B-72, which is a standard between personal collectors and museums.

The Ornithocheiridae family was one of the last remaining suborder of Pterodactyloidea to be in possession of teeth, and are geologically present in many formations ranging from the americas to europe, north africa and even into asia.
This large geographical distribution indicates there success through the late cretaceous stages. Until recently all Pterosaur teeth where simply labeled Siroccopteryx moroccensis, due to this being the only known Ornithocheiridae from this formation however the subsequent discovery of a anterior rostrum fragment is now assigned to Coloborhynchus fluviferox sp. giving the impossible task of determining between the two teeth.
